Annual Meeting

Annual Meeting

Thanks to all of you PFS Members who have already responded to the invitation to the PFS Annual Meeting on January 19, 2019.

We all know the world is a little crazy these days. Music is one of the things that can help us through these hard times. PFS supports the songs that inspire us, that call out for us to sing along. Songs that make us laugh, and songs that tell of what makes us human: joy and tears, struggle and playfulness.

The Annual Meeting is a chance for members to get together for fun and music, interact with their Board of Directors and the Committees, and consider some of the rewarding and fun volunteer opportunities that are available. You'll also learn about the new interactive website under development, a new way for PFS members to publicize their musical events easily, this year's Singtime Frolics, and the great line-up of PFS concerts.

We are going to have an hour plus of a concert by some of PFS's best musicians, with each doing one song for our pleasure and participation.

Time and place:
Tabor Space,
5441 SE Belmont St. Portland, OR 97215.
January 19, 2018.
Please arrive between 4 and 4:30 to begin promptly at 4:30.

We'll start musical performances at 4:30. Around quarter to six, the PFS Board will give their annual report and we will get to meet the new slate of Directors. Then, at 6:30, we'll have a spaghetti dinner, followed by some more music, and we'll all leave by 7:30, having nourished our bodies and souls.

The Annual Meeting is for PFS members, so if you want to bring friends, just have them join PFS first. We need to know how much spaghetti to cook so please let us know as soon as you can that you are coming. Also, if you would like to volunteer to help with logistics and food, please let us know that when you respond.

To let us know you are coming, to let us know that you will volunteer, and to let us know that you would like to perform, please just write to PFSAnnualMeeting@gmail.com.

Thank you for your love of the music of the folk in the Pacific Northwest.
